Sketches for an Unseen Future was initially a drawing event that I organised at the Skissernas Museum in Lund, Sweden in March 2017.
For one night, visitors were invited into the museum for free to take part in a group drawing workshop.
The drawing activity was explained through written instructions, and participants were unable to visually monitor the progress of their drawings.
During the evening 92 blind drawings were produced by over 66 participants.
Participants were invited back to 'open' the sealed sketches two weeks later, and the anonymous sketches were then bound together in a book that is now a part of the museum's collection.

The project was then taken to Kassel, Germany during documenta 14 in September 2017.
It was a part of a larger collaborative workshop 'Översätt - Listening From The Surface' that took place in the Interim space at KulturBahnhof Kassel.

Participants were told they could either donate their drawings to the collection or take them home.

Next,  I presented the project as a part of a drawing course entitled 'Failure' at Konstskolan Munka in Skåne, Sweden in November 2017.
The second year students were asked to decide together what to do with their drawings.
After discussing the possible fates and values of their drawings, they decided to pass their drawing to another to open, take off the carbon paper layer to keep for themselves and to contribute the remaining paper to the collection.
