Project in residency - Kiruna, July 2016.
In the north of Sweden over the summer months there is 24/7 daylight. In order to make the most of this natural phenomenon, I painted a series of 10 images with black oil on Mylar film and made contact prints on photographic paper. Through direct exposure to sunlight the negative image is printed - but without chemical development the image on the paper will naturally fade away.
